Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse (Homecare / Hospice RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Setting: Hospice / Home Health Care Location: Trussville, AL Start Date: September 11, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 7-on/7-off nights, with every other weekend Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Hours Per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,120 - $2,230 Openings: 1 Coverage Area: Jefferson, St. Clair, Blount, Cullman, and Etowah counties Job Requirements Active Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR certification required Associate degree in Nursing or higher At least 1 year of nursing experience Prior hospice, home health, or homecare nursing experience preferred Experience with HCHB EMR system preferred Strong clinical judgment and the ability to triage after-hours calls Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills Responsibilities Respond to after-hours calls and provide timely clinical support Complete scheduled and PRN patient visits in the home health and hospice setting Perform admissions as needed Deliver patient-centered nursing care in the homecare environment Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to support quality outcomes Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in the EMR Support care coverage across the assigned service area, including alternating weekends Provide compassionate, reliable nursing care that helps patients and families feel supported Apply now to join a trusted Alabama healthcare team and make a difference in home health and hospice care across the Trussville and Birmingham, AL area.
