Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Gilbert, AZ, responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations and physical integrity of a residential community. This role leads the service team, assigns and follows up on work orders, and ensures timely completion of maintenance tasks, repairs, and preventive programs. The Service Manager coordinates with community management on unit turns, capital projects, vendor work, and safety initiatives, while maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting building systems, enforcing maintenance standards, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and providing responsive, professional service to residents. The role also involves training and mentoring maintenance team members and supporting emergency on-call coverage as needed. Qualifications Strong residential maintenance skills, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, appliance repair, and carpentry. Experience managing maintenance operations, overseeing work orders, coordinating vendors, and supporting capital or renovation projects. Knowledge of safety, building codes, and compliance practices relevant to multifamily communities, with a focus on preventive maintenance. Ability to lead, train, and mentor a service team, with effective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Customer service mindset, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, associates, and contractors in a fast-paced environment. Comfort using maintenance software, mobile applications, and digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and reporting. EPA certification for refrigerant handling and other relevant trade licenses or certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) preferred. Previous multifamily or commercial property maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
