The primary function is for the overall administration of the clinical departments and monitoring of appropriate staffing and productivity. The DCS / DON coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency./ph3Qualifications/h3pQualifications:/pulliRegistered nurse (RN) licensed in Texas or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)/lili2 years of experience in a leadership role. (DCS, Clinical Supervisor, AdoN, etc)/lili4 years of experience in Hospice/liliHomeCare HomeBase experience./liliGood communication skills, assessment skills, and strong clinical documentation skills./liliDemonstrates proven decision-making skills./liliNursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice./liliReliable transportation. Valid and current auto liability insurance./li/ulpEssential Functions:/pulliDirects and coordinates clinical departments and branches; assumes responsibility for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with State and federal regulations. (Conditions of Participation)/liliParticipates in activities relevant to professional services, including development of qualifications and assignment of agency personnel./liliSupervises and provides direction to subordinates, in an effort to ensure quality compliance with Plan of Care and assessment and reassessment of patients needs and continuity of services by appropriate health care personnel./liliMonitors QAPI Program and assures appropriate corrective measures are performed./liliPromotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary./liliMonitors systems and identifies problem areas to Administrator both verbally and through written reports./liliMeets mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/licensing board./liliPromotes and educates regarding the concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease./liliUses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes./liliResponsible for assuring patient/resident safety./li/ulpDiversity, Equity, and Inclusion are at the heart of Cantex.
