Within our Operations Quality – Continuous Improvement Team, we focus on product and process quality, emphasizing product compliance, customer satisfaction, and measurable continuous improvement. As a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will partner with leaders in Operations, Quality, Program Management, and Engineering to solve problems and drive improvements on advanced defense systems. You will be embedded in programs and integrated into the factory, using CORE, APQP, and RCCA principles to elevate quality and deliver results. What you will do: Baseline factory metrics (Scrap, Rework, FPY, TUH, etc.), identify top drivers, forecast demand, and pinpoint improvement opportunities. Engage MFG DPT teams to align on priorities and drive containment, Root Cause Analysis, and corrective action implementation. Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to reduce variation. Help standardize data entry to improve analysis cycle time. Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC, etc.) using baseline metrics and future demand. Calculate ROI and secure alignment from Program and MFG teams for CI projects. Verify and validate improvements to assess effectiveness. Identify cross‑process or cross‑program improvement opportunities. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical field and a minimum of five (5) years of Quality Engineering experience. Manufacturing process experience in assembly, inspection, or test. Experience identifying root cause and implementing short‑term and long‑term corrective actions. Experience building relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Knowledge of using quality metrics to drive root‑cause and long‑term corrective action, including validating verifications. Requirement to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Qualifications We Value: Knowledge of key process characteristics and effective process control techniques. Motivated self‑starter able to influence cross‑functional teams. Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems. CORE, Six Sigma, Shainin Red X, ASQ certifications. Proficient in Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping. Experience with PFA & A, regression analysis, and APQP/AS9145. Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis and Design of Experiments. Facilitation of cross‑functional teams in systematic improvement activities (e.g., Six‑Sigma, lean). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience interpreting drawings, work instructions, BOMs, consumable material control, and tool control. Understanding of MRP and shop‑floor management tools (PRISM, CMES). Existing US DoD Secret or higher clearance.
