Physical Therapy Assistant Physical Therapy

Schedule: 8 hours per day

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Perform non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and modalities such as massage, heat, cold, and electrical therapies.
• Document client status accurately and submit clinical paperwork on time.
• Attend educational meetings and contribute to in-service training.
• Notify the supervising Physical Therapist of any equipment failures or departmental changes.
• Schedule clients and perform a variety of office tasks.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Requires ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods.
• Work may involve stressful conditions to meet deadlines and address patient needs.
