Therapy procedures on those customers receiving peripherally inserted Intravenous fluids, pursuant to RN scope of practice.Maintain and coordinate communication among customer/significant other, team members, and physician as evidenced within the EMR, client, and health care team feedback.Assist in assuring that effective communication exists with customer/significant other as reflected in the plan of careGive punctual change of shift report consisting of pertinent and relevant information for assigned customersEffectively communicate customer’s changing needs and plan of care among team membersReport customer needs/problems and observations regarding customer’s condition to Unit Manager, ARNP, and PhysicianReinforce customer/significant other information regarding plan of care and discharge plansWork collaboratively with other members of the health care team in coordination of the customer's care as evidenced by other department feedbackProvide customer/significant other health teaching as indicated by condition and needUse available written and AV materials specific to customer condition or diseaseUtilize appropriate teaching methods such as one-on-one and group instruction, demonstration, or discussionDocument health teaching including customer/significant other response to and their understanding of health teachingParticipate in staff development programs as evidenced by education recordDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them from appropriate resourcesComply with the infection control policies and procedures including ensuring a safe working environment for self and othersAttends and participates in in-service training.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentGraduate of an accredited RN/LPN programRequired License/CertificationValid Graduate State RN/LPN licenseCurrent CPR certificationPreferred Education and ExperienceJob Types: Full-time, Part-time
