Job DescriptionJob Overview\nCompany: KLH Enterprises\nPay: $23–$33 per hour, based on experience, plus annual bonus eligibility and overtime potential\nLocation: Milton, Delaware\nEmployment Type: Full-time\nProject Scope: Commercial and industrial concrete\nTravel: Local and regional project sites; employees generally return home each day\nRequired Licenses and Certifications: None required\n\nThe Opportunity\nKLH Enterprises is seeking an experienced Commercial Concrete Finisher who can contribute throughout the full concrete-installation process—not just complete basic broom or hand finishes.\n\nThis position is designed for a skilled craft professional with experience on commercial or industrial projects, including large slabs, foundations, footings, loading areas, and related concrete work. You will work as part of a field team focused on safety, quality, accountability, and completing projects correctly and efficiently.\n\nThis is not a residential flatwork-only position. Successful candidates must be comfortable working on larger commercial pours and using professional finishing equipment, including walk-behind power trowels.\n\nHow You Will Make an Impact\n\n Prepare, place, screed, finish, and protect concrete for commercial and industrial projects.\n Pull and operate screed boards to establish proper grade and elevation.\n Float, edge, hand-trowel, broom, and complete other specified finishes.\n Operate walk-behind power trowels and related concrete-finishing equipment.\n Set, level, brace, and strip forms.\n Prepare subgrade and grade stone before concrete placement.\n Install, position, and tie reinforcing steel and wire mesh.\n Assist with footings, foundations, structural slabs, loading areas, ADA ramps, and other concrete installations.\n Read basic construction drawings, elevations, dimensions, and project specifications.\n Check forms, reinforcement, grade, and elevations before concrete placement.\n Apply curing compounds and protective measures as required.\n Repair, patch, and correct concrete surfaces when needed.\n Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and field equipment.\n Work effectively around concrete trucks, pumps, excavation equipment, and active commercial jobsites.\n Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\n Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members throughout each phase of the project.\n\n\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\n\n Professional concrete-finishing experience in commercial or industrial construction.\n Demonstrated ability to finish large commercial concrete pours.\n Experience operating walk-behind power trowels.\n Ability to pull a screed board and establish proper grade.\n Experience setting forms and preparing reinforcement.\n Knowledge of concrete placement, floating, edging, troweling, broom finishing, and curing.\n Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors and in changing weather conditions.\n Ability to follow safety procedures and jobsite instructions.\n Reliable attendance and transportation to the company shop or assigned project location.\n Ability to communicate effectively enough to work safely and follow project requirements.\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Five or more years of commercial concrete experience.\n Experience with footings, foundations, slabs, structural concrete, loading docks, and ADA-compliant concrete work.\n Ability to read construction drawings and identify elevations, dimensions, and concrete details.\n Experience installing and tying rebar.\n OSHA, fall-protection, lift-operation, or related safety certifications.\n Valid driver’s license.\n English-Spanish bilingual communication skills.\n\n\nCompensation and Benefits\n\n $23–$33 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and skill level.\n Weekly pay.\n Overtime potential.\n Annual performance bonus eligibility.\n Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.\n Paid parental leave.\n Training and certification opportunities.\n Company-provided uniforms.\n Regular company events.\n Opportunities for increased responsibility and career growth based on performance and demonstrated skills.\n\n\nAbout KLH Enterprises\nKLH Enterprises is a commercial and industrial concrete contractor based in Milton, Delaware.
