Summary Supervises employees in a manufacturing electronics environment. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Duties/Responsibilities Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance Check production output according to specifications Submit reports on performance and progress Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards Provides employee coaching and development Makes employment decisions and resolves employee issues through problem resolution Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas Works to continuously improve in all areas Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provides regular progress reports to manager Skills/Experience/Education/Training Required Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results Supervision: hiring and retention, performance review, discipline, and safety Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred Previous experience in Electronics Contract Manufacturing Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools Thorough understanding of ERP/MRP (Epicor a plus) Must be a U.S. Citizen Benefits Medical/Dental/Vision insurance Life Insurance Short/Long term disability Critical Illness Insurance Accident Insurance Paid Time Off 10 Paid Holidays 401k Match Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) Educational Reimbursement EEO Employer Nextek, Inc. is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
