Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Tandym Health

The position is for a Psychiatrist within the Behavioral Health department at a medical center in Newark, New Jersey. The role requires providing care to children with psychiatric diagnoses.

About the Opportunity:

Hybrid or Remote: Not specified
Shift: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for:

Providing outpatient medication management
Conducting psycho-evaluation services
Caring for children aged 4-17 with psychiatric diagnoses
Managing 15-minute medication management visits
Conducting 60-minute psychiatric evaluations

Qualifications:

Board Certification required
Medical degree in Psychiatry
Proficiency in using EMR systems (Epic)
Strong diagnostic skills
Effective communication skills
Compassionate patient care
Ability to work independently and in a team
Detail-oriented approach

Desired Skills:

Experience in pediatric psychiatry
Advanced training in Behavioral Health
Certifications in child psychiatry
Expertise in medication management
Empathy and patience
