Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Operating Room RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care. Responsible for assisting in various surgical procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout.

Responsibilities:

• Perform circulating and scrub duties during surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor patient vitals and maintain sterile environment to prevent infection.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure procedural efficiency and patient safety.
• Document patient information and surgical details accurately in charting systems.
• Adhere to facility protocols, including safety and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with WV or Compact state accreditation.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in the operating room.
• Proficient in circulating and scrub techniques, with skills in cardiac, vascular, general, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Robotics surgeries.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in vein and radial artery harvesting.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Experience with Cerner & Accudose charting systems preferred.
