Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care delivery. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops care plans that prescribe interventions to attain expected outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and create a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining expected outcomes. Identifies desired outcomes for patients and their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in delivering safe and compassionate care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members as well as team members. Directly provides health information to patients and their families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Requires associates to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment.
