Details 13-week contract in an Intensive Care Unit setting Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) 36 hours per week with every other weekend required Unit includes 15 MICU, 12 SICU, and 13 CCU beds Patient ratio of 1:2-3 for critical care and 1:4-6 when floated PCT/CNA support available on the unit Patient population includes ventilator, post-surgical, post cardiac cath, and post-TNK neuro/stroke patients Floating required based on staffing needs, primarily within other ICUs Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required Minimum 1.5 years of relevant acute care experience required BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Stroke CEU certifications required Epic EMR experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line and PICC line care, and blood product administration Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care preferred Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drip titration, and post cardiac surgery/cath care preferred Neuro critical care skills such as EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-craniotomy care preferred CRRT/CVVHD experience preferred Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Navy blue scrubs required Must float within skillset as needed based on census and staffing Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate Former RWJBH staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-747386.
