Human Resources Coordinator

Tri-State Paving & Sealcoating Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator in Hurricane, WV (onsite). This role supports smooth day-to-day people operations while partnering closely with the HR Manager. What You'll Do Coordinate recruiting activities by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and aligning next steps with hiring managers. Support onboarding by managing new hire paperwork, completing I-9 verification , coordinating background checks, and running or supporting orientations. Assist the HR Manager with preparing and processing weekly payroll , helping ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Help coordinate benefits enrollment, respond to employee questions, and process payroll-related data as needed. Handle day-to-day staff inquiries, assist with performance management documentation, and contribute to employee engagement efforts. Help ensure the company adheres to labor laws, regulations, and safety standards . Maintain accurate, confidential employee files (digital and physical) in the HR Information System (HRIS) . What You Bring 2+ years of HR experience in an administrative or coordination capacity (required). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong proficiency with HRIS and the MS Office Suite . Excellent written and verbal communication , along with strong organizational and time-management skills. High attention to detail, a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to multitask. A proactive, approachable, and professional demeanor. Driver's License (required). Compensation and Work Details Onsite (in person) in Hurricane, WV. Pay starts at from $24.00 per hour .
