Telecare’s Oregon ACT #204 program is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to provide nursing leadership within our community-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program.

This is a unique opportunity to combine clinical nursing, team leadership, behavioral health, and community-based care — without the traditional hospital schedule.

You will supervise a small team of three Registered Nurses. Our four-person nursing team is integrated across two multidisciplinary ACT treatment teams, allowing our nurses to work closely with clinicians, case managers, prescribers, and other behavioral health professionals to help members remain successful in the community.

A structured on-call rotation is part of the leadership role. Rotations are scheduled in advance, and employees remain available to respond to program needs during their assigned rotation.

Compensation

Expected starting salary: $118,995.46–$134,000.00 annually

Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You’ll Do

As the Nurse Supervisor, you will provide clinical and supervisory leadership while remaining actively connected to member care. You will:

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of three Registered Nurses

• Work alongside one of the program’s two multidisciplinary ACT treatment teams while providing oversight across nursing services

• Coordinate nursing care with psychiatry, clinical staff, case management, and other members of the treatment team

• Provide nursing assessments, interventions, medication oversight, and administration as needed

• Support members with education regarding medications, physical health, side effects, wellness, and recovery

• Oversee medication management and infection-control practices

• Help ensure nursing practices meet applicable state, federal, licensing, and organizational requirements

• Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Build therapeutic relationships with members served in community settings

• Provide nursing consultation and education to program staff

• Support quality-improvement and member-safety initiatives

• Assist with linkages, referrals, discharge planning, and coordination with outside healthcare providers and community resources

• Provide feedback, coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development support to nursing staff

• Partner with program leadership regarding staffing, nursing operations, clinical quality, and program needs

• Participate in a scheduled leadership on-call rotation

Because ACT services are community based, this position includes providing services and support in a variety of community settings.

Assertive Community Treatment is designed for individuals with significant behavioral health needs who benefit from intensive, coordinated support in the community.

Rather than providing care exclusively inside a hospital or clinic, ACT teams bring services to members where they live and navigate daily life. Nurses work alongside behavioral health professionals to support medication management, physical and behavioral health needs, recovery goals, community stability, and overall wellness.

For an RN coming from inpatient behavioral health, this can be an opportunity to use your psychiatric nursing expertise in an entirely different way — with greater continuity of care and the ability to see the longer-term impact of your work.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with four (4) years of nursing experience, including two (2) years of psychiatric nursing experience; OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with two (2) years of psychiatric nursing experience; OR

• Master’s degree in Nursing with one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience

Candidates must also have:

• At least one (1) year of supervisory experience

• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Oregon

• Ability to meet applicable driving requirements for a community-based position

• Minimum age of 18

CPR, BLS AHA, and CPI certification requirements must be met on the date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintained throughout employment.
