Security Systems TechnicianSecurity System Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. You will be responsible for the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of state-of-the-art integrated security systems, including cctv or ip cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms. Our Security System Technicians are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their buildings and inhabitants safe.As a Security System Technician, you will:Participate in Operational Testing, Verification, and Acceptance: Run routine reports to review system operation. Participate in final inspection and testing. Support customer acceptance. Assist with customer training on system operations. Complete and submit routine written reports. Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installationConduct Project Site Communication and Coordination: May support others in the scheduling of trade contractors to coordinate start-up services as neededYou will make an impact with these qualifications:1+ year of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsMust be able to demonstrate an understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system managementMust be willing and able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violationsLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma3+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsMassachusetts Class D Electrical LicenseAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsReady to create your own journey?
