As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort in a fast-paced healthcare environment. About the Role: Leadership Responsibilities: As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the nursing unit is running smoothly and efficiently. Patient-Centered Care: You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families. Team Collaboration: You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and that the nursing unit is functioning effectively. Responsibilities: Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and feedback, and addressing any performance issues. Assess Patient Needs: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs. Develop Individualized Care Plans: Develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient. Provide Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families. Monitor Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress, identifying any changes or concerns, and adjusting care plans as needed. Requirements: Education: LVN or RN degree from an accredited nursing program. Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or similar role. Certifications: Current LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
