Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kosher Cook to join our team at Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Harrisburg, PA. As a key member of our dietary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and patients. Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently cook an assortment of meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking

• Prepare and portion food products, including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates

• Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure accurate meal prep and delivery

• Follow and prepare standardized recipes

• Clean the kitchen before and after food service, and all kitchen equipment before and after use

• Manage inventory, purchasing, rotation of stock, and recipe development and compliance

• Ability to handle last-minute requests for special events

Requirements:

• Classically trained and experienced in a high-volume culinary environment

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• High school diploma or equivalent required
