Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36–48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit, with a primary focus on stroke patients as well as neurosurgery, epilepsy, traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and other neurological diagnoses
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Utilize unit systems including EPIC , PYXIS, and SBAR for documentation and medication management
• Float as needed to other Med/Surg and Telemetry areas within or near the facility, which may include COVID care units
• Work every other weekend as part of the expected schedule; weekend shifts missed are expected to be made up based on unit needs
• Complete pre-start compliance modules (approximately 8–10 hours, non-billable) prior to start date using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience
• Must have completed at least 2 successful travel contracts prior to applying — first-time travelers will not be considered
• BCLS certification required
• NIH / NIHSS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply; a lower bill rate will apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Neuro-specific Med/Surg setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) workflows or neuro-focused patient populations
