Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to impact the development of safety-critical systems and cutting-edge Avionics solutions for the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System. As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems. Support the development and management of system safety requirements, ensuring proper allocation, traceability, validation, and verification Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including systems, software, hardware, safety, and certification engineering Support system design and architecture activities to ensure safety considerations are incorporated early and throughout development Contribute to systems integration efforts, identifying and addressing safety impacts across interfaces and subsystems Perform or support system safety analyses, including FHA, FTA, FMEA, CMA Support compliance with applicable aerospace safety standards and regulatory guidance Assist with technical documentation, reviews, and certification artifacts in accordance with Honeywell processes What’s In It For You Hands-on work with safety-critical avionics systems Why Join Us? Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics 2+ years of Systems Engineering or safety engineering experience We Value Knowledge of systems development lifecycle Knowledge in any of the following is of value: CAFTA experience Part 25 aircraft exposure Flight control safety experience System safety analyses (e.g. FHA, FTA, FMEA, CMA, etc) The Business Unit The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group at Honeywell is dedicated to developing cutting-edge avionics systems that provide the necessary information for safe and efficient flights.
