[About the Role]
Join our dynamic Public Safety and Professional Communications division as a PMO Technical Analyst (Program Management - Contractor - L3) in Lynchburg, VA. In this pivotal role, you will deliver technical expertise and operational support for critical project management tools and reporting systems. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, streamline processes, and empower Program Managers to deliver high-impact results across our project portfolio.




[Responsibilities]




- Provide expert support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Project and Project Server to project teams and Program Managers
- Design, configure, and maintain custom lists, fields, views, and workflows in Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint
- Develop, enhance, and manage Power BI reports and dashboards; address data and reporting issues promptly
- Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate data integration using basic SQL for accurate reporting
- Review, revise, and streamline PMO process documents, templates, and guidance materials to boost team efficiency
- Advise on Microsoft Project and project management best practices within the PMO
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives for PMO tools, systems, and processes




[Required Skills and Experience]




- Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience developing and maintaining Power BI or Tableau reports/dashboards
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration and list management
- Basic SQL skills for data extraction and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Proven collaboration skills; ability to clarify technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment




[Preferred Skills]




- 3-5 years of relevant PMO or project support experience
- PMP certification or formal project management training
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project Server (on-premises), Power BI, DAX, and data modeling
- Experience streamlining processes and maintaining procedural documentation
- 2+ years hands-on support of Microsoft Project/Project Server in a professional setting
