A Day in the Shop

Picture your morning at our Wheat Ridge, Colorado facility. You roll up your bench, review a new set of CAD prints, and queue a cut list for the automated saw. Precision cuts on aluminum extrusion come first; then you move to the mill to drill, tap, and deburr the components to spec. With dimensions verified using measuring tools and inspection equipment, you shift gears to assemble frames, guards, workstations, and carts—installing brackets, fasteners, panels, and accessories exactly as the drawings call for. By afternoon, you’re packaging finished builds for shipment, updating the job in our ERP/MRP system, and lending a hand with inventory or a quick forklift move.

Serving the Rocky Mountain region, TMMI provides advanced industrial automation solutions—smart sensors, robotics, and custom aluminum framing systems and machine structures—to help manufacturers raise productivity, safety, and efficiency.

• Cut aluminum extrusion and components to tight tolerances using automated saws.
• Perform light machining: drilling, milling, tapping, and deburring to specification.
• Assemble aluminum framing systems, workstations, machine guards, carts, and custom structures.
• Install brackets, fasteners, panels, and accessories per engineering drawings.
• Confirm quality through dimensional checks and tolerance verification.
• Read and interpret CAD drawings, assembly prints, and work instructions; flag discrepancies to engineering and project teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop; assist with inventory and material handling.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when needed.
• Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency and quality.

• 2+ years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, machining, or related trades.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Hands-on time with saws, drill presses, mills, or similar shop equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools.
• Forklift certification or willingness to earn it.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.

• Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Travel: Occasional training opportunities
• Work Environment: Manufacturing and fabrication shop

Pay Range: $23–$28 per hour, depending on experience
