Candidates must have 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience.Description: The unit has 27 beds and a staff of 50 RNs and 25 medics. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics, with an increase of 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and 1-2 RNs at 3 PM. Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics. Patient ratios are 4-6:1. The equipment utilized includes EMR - Meditech. Candidates with experience in high acuity Emergency Rooms and fast-paced environments with high volume will be prioritized. Experience managing patient ratios of 5:1 is preferred. Typical procedures performed include RSI, Sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and transfers to other facilities. The ideal candidate will have a relaxed, easy-going demeanor, be friendly, team-oriented, and respectful. Preferred certifications include ENPC, NRP, and NIH stroke scale training. There is no floating required in this position. The dress code consists of navy blue or white scrubs.
