Details Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting Observation unit caring for chest pain rule-out and cardiac patients Supports the ED by holding patients when the hospital is at capacity Patient ratio of 1:5 Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM 13-week assignment length No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer Requirements Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required Trauma Level II hospital experience required Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred Cerner charting system experience preferred At least one prior travel contract required Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Cardiac and telemetry skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferred Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips preferred Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV care experience References required for consideration Additional Information Provide care to chest pain rule-out and cardiac patients in an observation unit setting Support emergency department overflow by managing held patients Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position First-time travelers will not be considered as this is a float unit Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility Candidates with license or background check hits may be considered on a case-by-case basis Gyn/Onc surgery experience is a plus American Traveler Job ID P-746528.
