Job Summary and Qualifications

· Provides quality Cat Scan/MRI exams for interpretation by the Radiologist. 

· Maintain and apply current Cat Scan/MRI standards and clinical competency including age competency.

 · Apply critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve. 

· Quality patient care, contrast media administration, quality control, patient documentation, record maintenance. 

· Meet the personal and practical needs of patients and families. 

· Continue self-development, provide leadership and actively participate in offered performance improvement activities.

 · Educates others as needed. 

· Must have the ability to express ideas by means of the spoken word to others accurately, respectfully, loudly, and quickly. 

· Visual acuity to analyze data and figures, including items seen on computer terminals and written pages.

· Considers age and physical status of patients to determine staffing requirements and to plan and deliver patient care in imaging areas. 

· Participates in in-services and meetings. 

· Direct caregiver. 

· Monitors quality of care and seeks opportunity to make improvements.

 · Participates in committees as necessary. 

· Demonstrates organization ability and sound judgment.

 · Reflects HCA values and its ethical and compliance principles in his/her daily activities (Code of Conduct).

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging
• Certificate, or Vocational School Graduate
