Music Therapy Support Specialist

This contract opportunity is perfect for a passionate music therapist eager to work in schools, supporting 7 students in a flexible, part-time role. Starting July 29, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027, you'll have the chance to use your skills one day each week, working directly with small caseloads of 3-4 students per day. Specific school assignments are still to be determined, allowing for some flexibility.

Qualifications:

• Active National Certification as a Music Therapist required
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Commitment to fulfilling district fingerprinting/background check and drug screening requirements
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student development

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct music therapy services to students, every other week based on the established caseload
• Develop individualized treatment plans according to student needs and educational goals
• Document progress and maintain thorough records for each session
• Coordinate and consult with educational professionals and families
• Adapt sessions as needed to ensure engagement and positive outcomes
