Opportunity Overview

Our organization is looking to recruit a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Nocturnist to become part of our vibrant team in Sacramento, CA.

Become a member of a high-achieving pediatric hospital medicine team within a flourishing tertiary care children's center.

We are excited to welcome a committed Pediatric Hospitalist to our established and collaborative pediatric hospital medicine program. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a physician dedicated to caring for medically complex children in a dynamic, high-acuity setting while also engaging in medical education, quality enhancement, and program development.

Our team excels in a fast-paced clinical environment that prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration, academic involvement, and innovation in pediatric inpatient care .

Clinical Environment

You will be responsible for the care of a diverse and medically intricate pediatric population within a 40-bed general pediatric unit situated in a tertiary care children's center.

The center features:

• 20-bed CVICU/PICU

• The largest NICU in Northern California

• A robust newborn nursery service

• A dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department

Our physicians collaborate closely with a comprehensive array of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists, supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes social work, integrative medicine, pediatric pharmacy, and other pediatric-focused services.

Program Structure

• Three acute care teams operating daily

• Two Well-Baby Nursery teams (no delivery attendance required)

• In-house nocturnist coverage

• Regional teleconsultation support for local hospitals

• Active participation in medical education with residents and medical students

Qualifications

What We Seek:

• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Hospital Medicine with substantial pediatric inpatient experience

• A strong commitment to caring for medically complex children
