Responsibilities - Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students. - Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a love for learning. - Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations, and provide constructive feedback. - Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs. - Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices for teaching and learning. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies. - Manage classroom behavior and implement effective discipline strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment. - Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences. - Support and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field. - Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state. - Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. - Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. - Proficiency in using technology for teaching and classroom management. - Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture. - Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
