Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Part Time

About the role
Your Choice is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one companion care and daily living support to an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home setting. This is a consistent, long-term assignment with the same individual, so we're looking for someone who wants to build a real relationship rather than rotate between clients.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship and engage the individual in daily activities and community outings

• Assist with dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living

• Prepare meals and monitor food and hydration intake per the care plan

• Provide mobility assistance and physical support as needed

• Follow behavioral support plans and maintain a calm, consistent, patient approach

• Supervise for safety and document daily activities and any incidents

What we're looking for

• Experience as a DSP, HHA, CNA, or in a comparable direct care role

• Comfort supporting someone who benefits from routine and predictability

• Prior experience with behavioral support plans strongly preferred

• Patience, emotional steadiness, and the ability to de-escalate without escalating

• Physically able to assist with transfers and mobility support

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Must pass a background check and complete required state training

• High school diploma or GED
