Obstetrics And Gynecology Physician

Specialists for Women a Mid-Atlantic Women’s Care division, and affiliate of Unified Women’s Healthcare , is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join their practice in Suffolk, Virginia. Specialists for Women is a well-established practice that has served the Suffolk area for over 30 years. Role Description This full-time, on-site Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician role is based in Suffolk, VA and focuses on providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to a diverse patient population. The physician will perform routine and high-risk prenatal care, manage labor and delivery, and provide postpartum follow-up. Daily responsibilities include conducting gynecologic examinations, diagnosing and treating reproductive health conditions, performing office-based procedures, and participating in surgeries as needed. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, maintaining accurate and timely medical records, and adhering to clinical guidelines and quality standards. The physician will also contribute to patient education, support preventive care initiatives, and participate in practice meetings and quality improvement activities. Qualifications Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with completion of an accredited ObGyn residency program. Valid, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Virginia, and current DEA registration. Demonstrated clinical competence in obstetric care, including prenatal management, labor and delivery, and postpartum follow-up, with experience in both routine and high-risk cases. Strong skills in gynecologic care, including well-woman exams, reproductive health management, office-based procedures, and participation in gynecologic surgeries. Ability to deliver patient-centered, culturally sensitive care, with excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills. Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality improvement. Comfort with electronic health records and basic digital tools used for documentation, scheduling, and care coordination. Willingness to participate in shared call coverage, flexible scheduling, and occasional extended or weekend hours as required for patient care. Preferred experience in women’s health outpatient practice settings; additional training or interest in areas such as minimally invasive surgery, fertility, or menopause care is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
