Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Overview Department: 35125 Atrium Health Cabarrus - Nursing: NICU. Status: Full-time. Benefits eligible. Hours per week: 36. Schedule: Full-Time night shift (36 hours per week) with 1–2 full weekend shifts per a 6-week schedule. Pay range: $38.20 – $57.30. Location: Atrium Health Cabarrus, a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus and surrounding counties. Designated Level III Trauma Center with comprehensive emergency services. Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Apply evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, and effective communication to maintain a safe patient environment and high-quality patient experience across the continuum. Collaborate with the NICU team, including neonatal providers and respiratory therapists, to support infants and families. Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization as part of the NICU care team. Maintain appropriate nursing ratios as acuity dictates (typical range 1:1, may adjust to up to 1:3). Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. Not for new grads with less than 6 months of NICU experience. Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association). Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required for all RNs.
