Gateway Church Of Blue Springs Lead Pastor Job Description Overall Responsibility: The Senior Pastor of Gateway is responsible to the Lord Jesus Christ, and accountable to the Trustees, to shepherd, manage and lead Gateway to implement its vision of Knowing Christ, Making Him Known, and Enjoying the Journey. Status: Full-Time Compensation: TBD Reporting Structure: Member of the Board of Trustees (Elders) and also accountable to the Board. Specific Responsibilities: Communicating & Demonstrating the Vision of Gateway Aligning the messages with the Vision Working effectively with staff to fulfill the vision. Demonstrate a presence in the community for purposes of making Christ known to the community Demonstrate a spiritual life for the purpose of knowing Christ, Making Him known, and enjoying Him. Preaching of God’s Word 80% of Sunday Preaching Empowering & investing in others for the other 20% Casting the Vision and development of Gateway’s Sermon Series’ Crisis Care/Counseling Seeing members of the congregation for care, encouragement, and guidance Delegation of care of the congregation to staff/trustees/church members. #J-18808-Ljbffr
