Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Complete required orientation modules and annual competency assessments as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission (compact licenses accepted for starts 1/1/2023 and forward)
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• All required certifications must be active with nothing pending
• Two professional references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the applying specialty, from assignments worked within the past 12 months
• No open background case hits or license hits
• Must be able to pass ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments within two attempts during orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of Medical Surgical experience obtained within a single facility
• Prior travel nursing experience within a large health system environment
