Forklift Operator / Shipping & Receiving Associate Location: South Charlotte, NC Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Overtime: Must be flexible to work overtime as needed based on production and business demands. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator for a manufacturing facility in South Charlotte. This role is primarily a sit-down forklift position responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material movement throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, previous material handling experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while ensuring inventory is properly organized and accessible. Key Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move raw materials, finished goods, and production components throughout the facility. Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Verify shipping and receiving quantities and ensure all documentation is accurate. Assist with maintaining shipping and receiving records and paperwork. Place materials, products, and components in designated storage locations. Support production operations by transporting in-process materials as needed. Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory management activities. Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are properly identified and accessible. Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and operational guidelines. Communicate effectively with warehouse, shipping, and production personnel to ensure smooth workflow. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of sit-down forklift experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations. Experience loading and unloading trucks. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation. Reliable attendance and strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be willing to work overtime when needed. Additional Requirements Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions when required. Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to adapt to changing operational needs. Must be capable of maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Strong work ethic and commitment to following company policies and safety standards.
