Description:
Cardiothoracic ICU specializing in post-cardiac surgery care.
Registered Nurses titrate drips, including sedation medications and vasoactives.
Responsible for chest tube and line removal, patient mobilization, and daily weights.
Care for patients undergoing CABG, valve replacements, Ross procedures, thoracic surgeries, aortic dissections, and other critical conditions.
Utilize devices such as CRRT, Tablo, Aquadex, Impella, IABP, Heart Mate III, external VAD, and ECMO.
20-bed unit managing multiple devices and diverse patient critical care needs.
