Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Orlando, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government transportation location as an armed officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, dispatch, and/or local law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic public areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to post orders.
• Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and post requirements, maintaining professional presence and readiness to respond to security-related concerns within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
