IT Support Technician

Valley National Group is seeking a motivated and service-oriented IT Support Technician to join our growing technology team. This position works closely with the Vice President of Technologies to support employees across the organization while helping maintain a secure, reliable, and innovative technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, helping others, and learning emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Microsoft 365 solutions. 

What You'll Do

As our IT Support Technician, you will:

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, phones, and connectivity issues.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, and other technology equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including account setup and equipment deployment.
• Help maintain technology inventories, documentation, and support procedures.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint security, and user access management.
• Assist employees with approved AI technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and other business productivity tools.
• Research emerging technology solutions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Work with technology vendors and service providers on support requests and projects.
• Participate in technology upgrades, deployments, and ongoing maintenance efforts. 

What We're Looking For

Education

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered. 

Experience

• 0-3 years of IT support, help desk, technical support, or related experience.
• Internship experience is welcomed.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments is a plus. 

Technical Skills

Experience or familiarity with:

• Microsoft 365 Administration and Support
• Windows Operating Systems
• PC and Laptop Troubleshooting
• Network Connectivity Fundamentals
• User Account Administration
• Basic Cybersecurity Concepts
• Audio/Visual and Conference Room Technology
• Artificial Intelligence and Automation Tools

AI Knowledge Preferred

We're looking for candidates who are excited about technology innovation and have experience or familiarity with:

• Microsoft Copilot
• ChatGPT or similar AI platforms
• AI-assisted research, documentation, workflow improvement, or automation
