A glimpse into the SHINE Home Health Residency:

The Home Health clinical track starts with a comprehensive 12-week orientation across various med/surg units, guided by high-performing preceptors.

After this period, nurse residents will work independently on med/surg for 6 weeks, solidifying their newly developed skills before transitioning to the Home Health department to begin their specialized orientation there.

The year-long program also includes commitments to clinical training, classroom sessions, and online learning, all aimed at strengthening the nursing practice and success of the New Grad RN.

The ideal candidate:

Expected graduation from an accredited Nursing school in the winter of 2026/2027 or less than 6 months of RN experience.

Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or the ability to obtain it after passing the NCLEX, required.
