Sr. Water Resources Project Manager

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search in our South Florida offices for a Sr. Water Resources Project Manager with extensive experience in the Water Industry. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and highly talented multi-disciplinary team supporting municipal water and wastewater projects, including pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, collection and conveyance systems, rehabilitation, stormwater and water resources projects, and will also support transportation projects. This practice‑building role includes business development activities to nurture and grow existing clients, develop new clients and sub‑consultants, and oversee key project management for clients. It provides overall leadership to the South Florida Water business line in collaboration with local business line leaders in the district and region. Responsibilities Lead business development activities to nurture and grow existing clients and develop new clients and sub‑consultants. Oversee key project management for municipal water and wastewater projects, including pump stations, storage and treatment facilities, collection and conveyance systems, rehabilitation, stormwater and water resources projects. Collaborate with local business line leaders to advance the strategic direction and positioning within the district and region. Support transportation projects where applicable. Ensure consistent adherence to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. Expertise Leverage broad technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings. Foster new and emerging innovations to remain trusted thought leaders. Advance the strategic direction of the area to position the team for sustained growth. Encourage technical and professional development of staff. Manage advanced projects to support key clients and enhance local positioning. Client Focus Center clients to help them be Future Ready through sustainable planning and design. Work with the Florida Water District Leader to leverage reach across regions. Deploy unique expertise to create new value for clients and provide civic and industry leadership. Manage client coordination and cross‑selling efforts across all business lines locally. Impact Prioritize investments to enhance WSP’s ability to deliver high‑quality, sustainable projects. Optimize the client and employee experience through regular reviews and process improvements. Focus on innovation and enhancing health, safety, quality, and sustainability standards. Pull together the best teams to maximize productivity and bring technical expertise as needed. Measure performance through staff growth, EBITDA, utilization, backlog, and inclusion & diversity metrics. Exercise responsible decision‑making regarding company funds and resources, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are Professional with strong business development skills, a focus on water resources engineering, and a commitment to ethical decision‑making and workplace safety. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a focus in Water Resources or a closely related discipline. 10+ years of post‑education experience in water resources engineering. Professional License. Strong business development experience with connections to local agencies and municipalities in Florida. Experience with change management. Demonstrated commitment to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and abiding by health, safety, and anti‑harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications 12+ years of experience.
