- # Client Implementations Pre-Onboarding SpecialistApply: North Carolina Office: Charlotte Office: Full time: Posted 2 Days Ago: JR100192## Position SummaryThe Client Implementations Pre-Onboarding Specialist supports the pre-onboarding and implementation readiness of Financial Institutions (FIs), credit unions, and third-party service providers (TPSPs) adopting The Clearing House (TCH) payment products across multiple payment networks.This is a client-facing role responsible for coordinating pre-onboarding activities following contract execution, guiding clients and TPSPs through onboarding requirements, and ensuring timely completion of implementation readiness milestones. The Specialist partners closely with the Client Implementation Engineers and internal stakeholders to support client engagements, facilitate discussions, and drive successful pre-onboarding outcomes.**About The Clearing House:**The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C. is a bank-owned industry utility that shapes the payments landscape and provides infrastructure for safe, reliable, and efficient payments. We see an economy where everyone is connected and a future where modern payments make life easier. The Clearing House operates four payment systems: a high-value wire-transfer system (the CHIPS network), the country’s first and largest instant payments system (the RTP network), an automated clearinghouse network (the EPN network), and a check image exchange network (the Image Exchange Network). TCH also operates a bank account number tokenization service, runs a payments association known as the TCH Payments Authority, and maintains the rules for private-sector check image exchange through its ECCHO business line.## ## Qualifications Required* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an operational, onboarding, implementation support, or client-facing role; banking or financial services background preferred* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Experience documenting operational processes and requirements* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word## Qualifications Desired* Degree related to business, economics, or a related field* Experience with payment products and financial services operations (e.g., RTP, ACH, wires, card networks)* Experience working with third-party service providers or external partners* Strong analytical and organizational skills* Ability to think strategically and contribute to process improvement, standardization, and scalability initiatives## Essential Functions and Responsibilities* Support pre-onboarding of new customers across TCH payment products by coordinating activities with banks, credit unions, and TPSPs* Serve as a primary point of contact during pre-onboarding, managing communication, scheduling, and progress tracking* Lead client-facing meetings to review pre-onboarding requirements, timelines, and next steps* Support discussions related to agreements, access requirements and client profile options* Assist with agreements initiation and execution for new customers and partners* Support relationships with TPSPs and connectivity providers* Track pre-onboarding progress, identify risks or delays, and escalate issues to ensure timelines are met* Contribute to the development and standardization of pre-onboarding processes as the team expands to support additional TCH payment networks* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the client pre-onboarding experience* Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, CRM, Legal and Client Implementations to support pre-onboarding activities* Support post go-live activities, including client and TPSP follow-up, coordination of updates, and ongoing communication* Monitor and report on participant counts, et al.* Contribute to Pre-Onboarding Team self-identified risk efforts## Physical Demands and Work Environment:The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Candidates will report to the office three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
