Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after operative procedures. Collaborates with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and prepare them for surgery.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately and thoroughly.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with at least one year of perioperative or surgical experience.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilization, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to operate specialized surgical equipment and monitors.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
