Student Worker - Food ServiceThe Student Food Service Worker position is vital to achieving excellent customer service in residential and retail dining locations. The position is responsible for preparing food according to recipes, displaying the food, merchandising stations, greeting customers, and providing knowledgeable, friendly service.Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $15.00. Benefits vary by location and are subject to any legal requirements or limitations, employee eligibility status, and where the employee lives and/or works.Job Responsibilities:Maintain a clean and neat work stationClean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensilsUtilize proper food handling procedures and food safety knowledgeTake samples of all food items before serving customersMaintain a positive attitude, smile and greet customers as they approach the serving lineBe polite with customers during transactions and make sure they are satisfied with their service before helping the next customerEscalate customer concerns to a supervisor or managerCommunicate and interact in a professional manner at all timesMaintain daily temperature logs with calibrated digital thermometerCook and prepare foods according to provided recipesUse the correct portion controls when preparing and serving food itemsHave product knowledge to effectively service customers and answer questions about menu items on the lineAssist co-workers in setting up and breaking down stations as directed by managersWash work areas including worktables, walls, refrigerators, and cutting boardsSeparate and remove waste and place it in appropriate receptaclesComplete production and waste logsTransfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by cartCross-train in other areas as required by your managerWork in other areas or departments as neededCompletion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management teamQualifications:Must be able to follow written and verbal directionsMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbsMust be able to walk and stand for extended time periods, up to 6 hoursRequires repetitive motionRequires working with chemicals, heated equipment, and steamAbout Aramark:Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
