Position: Billing Supervisor

Job Description:

The Billing Supervisor is r esponsible for oversight of all LTL Billing operations . This individual will work under the direction of the Manager of Billing and will supervise all staff members to ensure that all tasks are completed timely and accurately.

Core Duties & R esponsibilities:

• Establish policies and procedures

• Mentor and supervise direct reports

• Responsible for assisting the manager with interviewing, hiring, and training

• C oordinating/assigning tasks, performing annual eval uation

• Team payroll, schedule s , Kronos timekeeping

• Ensure accurate and timely billing

• Analyze new customer’s needs an d implement processes as needed

• Set up new customers and communicate new processes to the fi eld and billing staff as needed

• Analyze and update monthly accounting reports as needed, unbilled reports and revenue reports

• Monitor weekly billing progress

• Other duties as assigned

R equirements:

• As sociate or bachelor’s degree and 2 -5 years of experience in the field of business, finance or similar preferred

• L eadership and supervisory skills

• S trong computer skills, ability to adapt to multiple systems and especially Microsoft Excel

• Possess analytical and interpersonal skills

• Be a self-motivated, problem solver

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to carry out assigne d projects to their completion

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, o fficers, vendors, and the public

• Transportation experi ence preferred but not required

Skills:

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attit ude with a “will do” work ethic

• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with AS400 operating systems and Oracle is a plus

• Transportation industry kno wledge and experience is a plus
