Epic Application Analyst- Hospital or Professional Billing

The Epic Application Analyst (HB/PB) is responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Hospital Billing (HB) or Professional Billing (PB) applications. This role partners closely with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, Finance, Clinical Operations, and Information Technology teams to ensure efficient workflows, system functionality, and regulatory compliance.The analyst serves as a subject matter expert for Epic billing applications and is responsible for maintaining system integrity, driving process improvements, troubleshooting issues, supporting upgrades, and delivering solutions that improve financial performance and operational efficiency.Baptist Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system committed to improving the quality of life for people and communities in northwest Florida and south Alabama. Epic certification in one or more technical applications and/or ability to attain Epic certification(s) in assigned module(s) within a defined timeframe determined at time of hire. Candidates must be willing and able to accommodate the demands associated with these activities, which may include:This position operates in a hybrid work environment and may require a minimum of 25% onsite presence to support operational and business needs.Working additional hours outside of regularly scheduled business hours, including evenings and weekends, as project needs dictate.Participating in on-site go-live and support activities across multiple organizational locations.Traveling occasionally for Epic training, certification, project meetings, or other work-related purposes, including travel outside of the state.Traveling between organizational facilities to provide operational, project, and end-user support.Candidates should be prepared to maintain flexibility in their schedules to support critical project milestones and organizational operational needs.Epic Application SupportConfigure, maintain, and optimize Epic HB or PB modules.Analyze business requirements and translate them into system design and technical solutions.Perform application build, testing, validation, and deployment activities.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, system defects, and user-reported concerns.Collaborate with operational leaders to identify opportunities for workflow improvement and automation.Project Management & ImplementationParticipate in Epic implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and optimization projects.Develop project plans, timelines, testing scripts, and documentation.Coordinate with Epic representatives, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders.Support change management and end-user adoption efforts.Revenue Cycle OptimizationSupport billing, claims management, reimbursement, charge capture, and payment posting workflows.Evaluate operational processes and recommend system improvements to enhance revenue cycle performance.Assist with revenue integrity initiatives and denial reduction efforts.Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve financial outcomes.Testing & DocumentationDevelop and execute test plans for software releases, upgrades, and new functionality.Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support activities.Ensure compliance with organizational standards and Epic best practices.Training & Customer SupportProvide ongoing support and consultation to end users.Deliver training and educational resources for operational teams.Serve as a liaison between business units and IT.Full timePosting Date: 2026-09-24
