Landscape Field Supervisor

Job Summary The Field Supervisor manages field operations for commercial site development projects from inception through completion. Duties and Responsibilities Inspect assigned field work; analyze and resolve problems. Manage labor force and subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track. Responsible for the dispatch of labor and equipment to job sites. Manage equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage, and maintenance. Work with staff to meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of external and internal customers. Collaborate with others and foster a positive people‑oriented environment. Ensure employee safety data and promote safe work practices or conditions. Demonstrate and ensure others follow BrightView Leadership Behaviors and promote a safe work environment. Education and Experience Minimum of 5 years in commercial landscape installation. Valid driver’s license. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in equipment operation and maintenance. Knowledge of heavy iron equipment. Knowledge of OSHA Standards. Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus. Physical Demands and Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company provided vehicles). Possess strong stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. Safe operation of landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods. Ability to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools such as shovels and rakes. Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (safety shoes, high‑visibility clothing, hand, eye, hearing, and head protection). Requirement for a valid driver’s license and meeting company standards for motor vehicle performance for those operating a BrightView fleet vehicle. Flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed. Maintain required medication in possession at all times to address any known allergic reactions. Work Environment Work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (temperature > 100°F, Work in direct sunlight for extended periods. Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical, and/or electrical hazards. Work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present. Work in environments with exposure to allergens such as pollen and ragweed, insects such as bees and spiders, and reptiles such as lizards and snakes. Compensation Pay Range $40.00 – $45.00 per hour.
