General Surgeon Position at Jackson North Medical Center

Jackson North Medical Center, a 382-bed hospital in North Miami Beach, serves North Miami-Dade and South Broward regions. It's part of Jackson Health System's four full-service hospitals. The hospital has expanded its emergency department, added a pediatric emergency room, and upgraded its labor and delivery suites, surgical suites, and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center. The hospital also features an updated lobby, reception area, dining center, renovated patient rooms, and an artistically redesigned front entrance.

Position Summary

Jackson Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician network, seeks a General Surgeon to support its growth at Jackson North Medical Center. The group provides care from routine to complex surgeries and follow-up care, offering a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides and maintains Jackson Health System Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients.
• Practice- average volume 1-2x weekly in office plus call (min 7 days per month). Surgery 3x weekly.
• General surgery patients.

Education

Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.

Experience

Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.

License/Certification

• Valid Florida Medical License.
• DEA and board certification or eligible in General Surgery are required. Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.
