Defense Cybersecurity Operations Analyst

Job Title: Cybersecurity DCO Analyst (Information Security Analyst) Reports to: Site Lead Department: USSTRATCOM Location: All applicants from other states welcomed to apply. Must be willing to work out of the AFB in Bellevue, NE. FLSA: Full-Time Exempt Job Summary The candidate will support USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, NE to execute information system continuous monitoring and cyber threat mitigation as part of CSSP operations. The role ensures mission success for strategic deterrence, nuclear command, and enterprise IT services by monitoring alerts, analyzing incidents, and coordinating remediation with system administrators. Essential Functions Supports DCO 24x7 operations for the CSSP Information Systems Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) mission. Performs cyber threat mitigation for USSTRATCOM enterprise systems. Ensures CSSP functional capabilities are continuously monitored for alerts, warnings, and indicators of cybersecurity events. Manages correlation and analysis of cybersecurity events to identify anomalous or malicious activities. Works with systems and network administrators to protect, monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to cybersecurity events. Maintains situational awareness of CSSP capabilities and functions and notifies of degradations and unscheduled outages. Proactively troubleshoots, analyzes, identifies, deconflicts, and isolates problems impacting CSSP functional capabilities. Recommends courses of action to restore impacted systems to full operational status and implements approved actions. Documents DCO actions and activities in the CSSP master stations log. Requirements 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Certification in one of: CySA+, CBROPS, CFR, FITSP‑O, GCIA, GDSA, GICSP, or GCFA. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Preferred Qualifications ITIL Foundation. Certifications including CISSP, CISM, Certified SOC Analyst, GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), GIAC GCIH, or GIAC DCIA.
