Production Associate

Production Operator I – Padding Department Join Our Team! We are seeking a dependable Production Operator I to support our Padding Department manufacturing operations. This hands‑on position is responsible for operating and monitoring padding production equipment, packaging finished products, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor padding production equipment according to established work instructions. Assist with machine setup, product changeovers, and startup activities. Package, bag, box, label, and palletize finished products to customer specifications. Inspect products throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met. Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and downtime logs. Operate scrap grinding equipment and support recycling and waste reduction efforts. Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S and housekeeping standards. Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and food safety requirements. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality observations to supervisors and team members. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and productivity. Starting Pay Padding Department: $20.00 per hour Shift Differential + $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. No shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Shift Schedule A Shift: 12:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Employees must be clocked in and ready for the daily shift meeting 15 minutes prior to their scheduled shift start time. Break Policy Two paid 15-minute breaks One paid 30-minute lunch break Qualifications Successful completion of required Production Operator assessments or equivalent manufacturing experience. Ability to read and understand work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying noise levels. Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety and quality.
