We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Position Summary The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting the culinary team to ensure efficient food service. This role is essential to delivering consistent, high-quality meals to our guests. Key Responsibilities Prepare food items according to recipes and standards (chopping, slicing, portioning, etc.) Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment Assist line cooks and chefs during service as needed Stock and rotate ingredients properly (FIFO method) Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with receiving and storing deliveries Perform basic kitchen tasks such as washing dishes or cleaning surfaces Qualifications Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs Team-oriented with a positive attitude Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly wage Employee discounts Opportunities for growth and advancement Fun and supportive team environment Medical, Dental and Vision How to Apply Apply in person at The Lodge at Deadwood or submit your application online.
