Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a growing Rehabilitation Team within a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment committed to clinical excellence, resident success, and employee development.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence while working collaboratively with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary team members

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

• Measure and record resident strength, mobility, motor function, and overall progress.

• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.

• Assist residents in the safe use of mobility equipment and assistive devices.

• Provide therapeutic treatments, including stretching, range-of-motion exercises, and other prescribed interventions.

• Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.

• Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license.

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to providing high-quality resident care and rehabilitation services.
