About the Position

Job Title: Pediatric OR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year of acute care experience 6 months of Pediatric OR experience required Acceptable candidates with either inpatient or ambulatory experience License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS BLS PALS Must-Have: 1 year of acute care experience 6 months of Pediatric OR experience Description: The Pediatric OR Nurse will work in a fast-paced surgical environment. Daily responsibilities include circulating and assisting with various pediatric surgical procedures. The average daily census is 25 patients. The patient population includes ENT, Urology, Neuro, General, Orthopedic, and Trauma cases. The nurse will be required to take on-call shifts, including 2 weekends and 2-3 weekday overnight shifts per 6-week schedule. Duties will involve functioning as a break nurse approximately 20% of the time. Skills in various surgical procedures, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and tonsillectomy, are essential. The nurse must adhere to the Universal Protocol and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures. All candidates should be aware of and agree to the on-call requirements outlined in the job description. This position is open to travelers with the requisite experience and qualifications.
